North Platte High School | Math
My name is Jennifer Davis. I am originally from Hershey, NE and graduated from Hershey Public Schools in 2010. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education 7-12 last May (2016) from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) and started working at NPHS in the Fall. I have recently started working towards my Masters. Before graduating, I was given the opportunity to complete my student teaching down in Houston, TX. While I was there, I learned a lot about becoming a teacher and even more about my students and their cultures. I loved every minute of it, however, I wanted to be closer to home. My hobbies include DIY projects, reading, and traveling. You can find me on Twitter at @ms_jdavisNPHS to see what we are up to in the classroom.
Here at North Platte High School, I teach Pre-Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II. The mission of our school is to prepare all students to be career and college-ready. As a teacher, my main goal is to help all my students learn, achieve, and succeed. I teach my students that mistakes are proof they are trying and ask them how they have learned from them.
