North Platte High School | Math
My name is Sarah Kaminski. I am an 1995 graduate of North Platte High School where I had the pleasure of a fabulous education while also participating in soccer, basketball, and cheerleading. I attended University of Nebraska at Kearney, receiving my Bachelor Degree, doubling majoring in Middle School Math/Science/Social Studies and Elementary Education in December 1999. I furthered my education by receiving my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane college in the summer of 2006.
My family includes my husband Matt along with our children Ryan(born in 2003), Abby(2006), and Chloe(2011). My husband Matt is a counselor at Adams Middle School along with being the head boys varsity basketball coach and the assistant boys golf coach at NPHS.
My teaching career started at NPHS from January 2000-May 2001. I then transferred to Adams Middle School where I taught 8th grade math and algebra until Spring of 2011. From spring 2011 to present I teach 9th grade Algebra at NPHS. In addition to teaching at NPHS I also serve as the girls varsity soccer coach.
One quote that defines myself and my beliefs is “effort is everything.” I teach and model this daily in my classroom and on the soccer field. I believe that any student and/or athlete is the best version of themselves when they give their best effort.
