New Changes to Buffalo for the 20-21 School Year

In converting this building to the Buffalo Early Learning Center, some changes were made to the building. Most of these changes were made to improve the safety and security of the building as well as to offer more opportunities to the students that attend preschool in this center.

Location of Main Doorway

The main entry for the Buffalo Early Learning Center will now be located on the North side of the building in the middle of the parking lot. The secretary’s office will be located just inside this doorway to provide better visibility of who is entering the building.

Drive-Thru Drop Off Lane

A one-way drop off lane has been added to the North parking lot. This will allow the parents of students who attend class on that side of the building to utilize this lane for drop off and pick up purposes.

Outdoor Classroom

In order to expand the offerings on the playground, the preschool teachers have been busy planning an Outdoor Classroom. An outdoor classroom is where learning and exploration are extended outside of the classroom into the outdoors. When playing in the Outdoor Classroom, students will have the opportunity to choose what center/area they would like to play at. Some of the centers that will be included will be Music and Movement, Log/Block area, a Mud Kitchen, a Digging Area, a Trike Path, and a Gross Motor area. Many of the great trees that are located on the Buffalo playground will be utilized to provide shade for the Outdoor Classroom section of the playground.
