Madison Middle School | Music

My name is Deanna Estrada. I teach Band, Orchestra, and General Music classes at Madison Middle School. This is only my second year at North Platte and my second year of teaching. I am originally from a small town in Southeast Nebraska called Auburn, NE. After graduating high school I then moved to Omaha, NE where I earned my Bachelor of Music with Music Education endorsement in December 2013. Throughout my college experience I have been able to travel abroad to perform and work with renowned flutists. I played in various musical ensembles performing on flute, piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute. I taught beginner piano classes in a group called Arts for All, Inc. which brings the arts of music, visual art, and dance to the Omaha area. While in Omaha I also served as the Assistant Director of the Heartland Philharmonic Flute Choir for a year before moving to North Platte to start my first teaching job. In my spare time you can find me playing my flute, out driving, crocheting, reading, and hanging out with my pug, Bubba.
