Madison Middle School | Literacy

My name is David Milleson. I have been a reading then literacy teacher at Madison Middle School since 2007. Prior to that I was an elementary teacher in San Bernardino, California for 13 years.

After graduating from Eisenhower HS in Rialto, Ca. I spent many years competing and coaching roller figure skating before returning to college. I received my bachelors degree from Cal State University of San Bernardino (CSUSB) and teaching degree from University of Redlands, Ca. I also earned a masters degree in elementary curriculum and a reading specialist degree from CSUSB.

My Wife, Suzanne, and I moved to North Platte to be close to my parents who had returned several years before after leaving in 1955. Our eldest daughter, Amy, soon followed us, got married, started a family and recently started teaching at North Platte HS. Our youngest daughter, Dione, is married and living in San Jose, Ca.

We enjoy the many activities that make up a small, close knit community. I am excited everyday to share in my students learning, watch them grow and become awesome learners. Our class motto this year is “We Can Do This.”
