North Platte High School | Agriculture
Kathleen attended North Platte Public Schools from 1st grade through her senior year of high school. During her time at NPHS, she was a National Honor Society member, competed on the high school swim team, played the tenor saxophone in band, was selected for the all-state choir her junior and senior years, and performed in the high school musicals- "Cinderella" and "Children of Eden." After graduating from NPHS in 2013, she attended UNK for one year, where she majored in Biology. After receiving acceptance into the National Student Exchange (NSE) Program, Kathleen transferred down to Oklahoma State University where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Business.
In the fall of 2016, Kathleen began her teaching career at Kearney High School, where she was a part of establishing the new agriculture and FFA program. During her time at KHS, she had multiple teams and individuals qualify at district contest to compete at the Nebraska State FFA Convention. After two years in Kearney, she received the opportunity to establish the new agriculture and FFA program at NPHS. Kathleen is looking forward to developing the program she wishes she could have had during her time at NPHS.
Kathleen enjoys spending time with her husband, Colton Craig (also an NPHS alum), and her two dogs- Paisley and Mollie.
