North Platte High School | Science

My name is Scott King. I grew up in Gillette, Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology. After talking to bacterial cultures for a while, I decided to give teaching a try. I earned my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University.

I moved to Nebraska and started teaching in Grant, Nebraska before transferring to North Platte. After one year at Adams Middle School, I was given the opportunity to transfer to the High School to teach Biology.

My third favorite dinosaur is a diplodocus and I actually think the newer Star Wars movies (1-3 and 7+) have been good. I have many diverse hobbies including scuba diving, woodworking, cooking, watching movies, camping, and just spending time with my family.

I am a proud Geek and love watching students who are curious about how and why the world works around them. So come geek out with me!
